TomTom is the most recognised name when it comes to navigation and travel services. Whilst the company is popular for its satnav devices it has a huge background in smartphone applications too. The TomTom software is available for the iPhone at a cost of £49.99 for the UK and Ireland version, and £79.99 for the Europe version. Other map areas are available and TomTom can be purchased for the iPad too.

The TomTom App is simple to use, and has the ability, like the satnav to save ‘favorite destinations’ so you can choose at ease. I must admit before testing the TomTom app I did delve into the possibility that the app may be slow, sluggish and not accurate, however on my first trial it was easy to see that all of these ideologies had been outrageously incorrect.

The app is everything it says it is and more. Like many iPhone users out there It’s hard not to use an app for every part of my day to day life, but when it comes down to it, this is one of the most precise and accurate apps out there in the travel/directions suite. TomTom could have priced this App at double the selling price it is today and I still would have been satisfied with my purchase, it is good value for money.

If you have a car or travel enough it’s a must have.
