Grand Theft Auto 3

This is the first handheld playable version of the GTA series. It is a universal app, meaning that is available on the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. First question anyone would ask, what do you do in it?

Rise of Heroes

About a week ago I was trolling around looking for some sort of strategy game. During this I found two tittles; Army of Darkness, and Rise of Heroes. As I started to play, RoH started to look promising. After the strange story intro, you get plunged straight into the game. You and a band of merry men there to help you (and you will need help as you can’t personally damage the enemy castle) are on one side of a valley with a castle that you must protect whilst also pushing the enemy back to their castle on the other side of the valley.

Street Wrestler

Another game brought to us by our friends at Chillingo, and I have to say I am impressed. Normally I don’t really like arcade layouts on games but the retro style simply blew me away! The grunge effect was also a nice touch. The 3D graphics are really quite interesting to give a kind of “Nintendo 3DS” kind of feel but the graphics of the actual wrestling should see improvement.

Pocket God

What do you think there is in your iPod/iPhone? Hard drives computer chips with pocket god? You can think again - Pocket God is a whole new world in your hand containing pygmies, dinosaurs, and the odd ice monster.

This is one must have app if volcanoes are your thing, maybe if you have a taste for lightning or maybe you just find flinging roasting, poor, helpless people darn right funny.

This app contains 42 episodes and counting. Episodes (missions, really) for people who don’t know - they’re a number of quests for you to complete in order to earn idols, which are pretty much the aim of the game (you can upgrade them). With these idols, you then go on your map, tap on the temple and if you have four you can play against the gods.

The other things you can do are for you to discover asI don’t want to spoil the experience and if you are ever stuck you can tap on the help button. All considered this is one game no iPod/iPhone can live without

Office Jerk

Office Jerk is a free app on the iPhone/iPod Touch. The aim of the game is to hit the ‘Office Jerk’ as many times as possible, with things as small as a rubber or as large as a computer screen. You can buy packs which include dynamites and chocolate cupcakes to throw at the jerk, or you can find objects and touch them to obtain them in your inventory. There are different versions of the games, for example, Office Zombie which is for Halloween and there is a holiday edition. When it first came out, it had three stars on the Apple store, but now it has almost five. There has been over 7.5 million downloads of the game.

Army of Darkness Defence

When most people hear about a game made from a movie (even on an iPhone) they immediately think disaster. But army of darkness by the infamous Backflip Studios is a semi-original side-scrolling shooter-tower defence bag of fun that’s been keeping me busy in my spare time for the past week.

Contre Jour

Four days ago a family member told me about this new iPhone game called Contre Jour, so I checked it out. It was a 69p game made by our buddies at Chillingo (Angry Birds, Cut the Rope). Those of you gifted with the power of language will be able to work out that the meaning of “Contre Jour” is something close to “counter day” or, in English, “night”. This is unsurprisingly where it is set - at night.

Paper Toss

Paper toss is an app in which you throw paper (who would have thought it?) in a bin. This game is made by Backflip studios and is completely free - for anybody who wants a good flash game on the go this is perfect. This game also comes in different editions for people who can’t get enough out of this game.

EuroBasket 2011 Live

Hope you are all enjoying EuroBasket 2011. I found an awesome app to keep basketball fans updated on stats of your favorite team of the Championship. Yep, when the EuroBasket 2011 Championship began in Lithuania, I started Googling for some EuroBasket iPhone apps and I found that most of them had a lot of bugs. Then, I finally found a great app at the iTunes Store named 'EuroBasket Live’ launched at the perfect time by Itero IT. This flawless app provides live stats on EuroBasket scores and it is worth its cost. Let's see more about its awesome features and outstanding performance.

Verizon iPhone Queues Not As Big As Expected

Earlier today, CNET were reporting on the opening of the Apple/Verizon stores for iPhone on Verizon. They reported that, at 6:50AM ET, only eight people were in the queue at the Fifth Avenue Apple Store. Pictures from inside the Apple Store today confirm that:
