@Stepto Leaves Microsoft

Written by James Rock

Stephen Toulouse, widely known as Stepto over the Xbox Community, will be stepping away from his position at Microsoft 15 February 2012. After being at Microsoft nearly 18 years, Stepto says, "...it's the only world I've really ever known. I feel too strangely comfortable, and too strangely tied." He goes saying, "So over the past several weeks I've made the decision to resign and have been working with my management for an orderly transition."

There is not much to say, but he will be missed.

The community is already jumped on this news and is supporting Stepto 100%

His blog post announcing his resigning from Microsoft can be found here.

Yesterdays news that the US Government have taken MegaUpload offline has caused a huge stir on social networking sites such as Twitter. @AnonOps have been tweeting the latest from Anonymous, a group of hackers with an intent to protect freedom on the internet. Last night Anonymous took a few .gov websites offline, along with UniversalMusic.com.

It seems the gaming platform is the much sought after revenue generator for many players in the industry. The popularity of games (not only restricted to kids) supposedly is driving many players in the technological gamut. If you are among the diehard gamers, this could interest you. GameStop, in an effort to extend its passionately gaming ideas, has the Androidtablets on offer. And the offer is for free games which accompany these tablets.

Nintendo 3DS Fresh News Head ache problem!

Written by Jamie Gordon

I've been using the Nintendo 3DS for 2 days now (not straight!) And believe me it is amazing! Incredible in every way. However one big big big issue with the device became apparent after playing with it for only a mere 15 minutes. It strains my eyes and always gives me migraines/head aches. I was curious to find out whether or not it was just me, so i took the device to the 'Cheadle Hulme School' to test it out on some students. They all loved it, but agreed it gave you eye strain within 10 minutes on average (10/13 students agreed).

As well as this the 3DS repeats itself and emphasises the importance of not over playing on the 3D mode. Hmmmm maybe this might be the fall of the 3DS...keep checking out this spot to see for a full review on the device.

New Apple MacBooks to be announced today?

Written by Alex Blundell

It is thought that today could be the day that Apple will announce the new MacBooks - the day that Intel release their new "LightPeak" technology, which may also be named "Thunderbolt" at launch.

The new MacBook's are said to have this ThunderBolt technology inside in the form of a Mini DisplayPort connector. We're not sure of the source of the following image, but it shows the ThunderBolt connector on the side.

There is also speculation that the new MacBooks, if not the 13", may have ATI/AMD Graphics cards built in instead of the previously used Nvidia chips.

Update: They're now here. Head onto the Apple Store to check them out.

Microsoft announces its Fourth US Retail store

Written by Alex Blundell

Microsoft has recently updated its Twitter page with this:

California here we come! The @MicrosoftStore opens its newest location this spring at the @SouthCoastPlaza in Costa Mesa, CA.

This will be Microsoft's fourth retail store to be opened, rivaling Apple's long established retail stores. Is this Microsofts attempt to break into a more user-friendly marketing base? We think so. Here are some similarities between Microsoft's and Apple's retail stores:
